As property managers, we act as a fiduciary to our clients, the owners of the properties. However most property managers act like nothing more than glorified personal assistants. It’s important to remember that as a property manager, you are the highly trained, professional and licensed expert! Your business will go a long way, and your clients will be happier, if you act like it. In this video, I’ll go over some example of property managers acting more like assistants who need direction from their boss (the property owner) than experts who the property owner sought out in order to know their property is being managed professionally by someone whose judgement the owner values.
